Hey, Rob J. Temple here and welcome to today’s blog post on, “8 Common Traits That Successful Entrepreneurs Carry”! Let’s get started…
If you want to become a successful business owner, then you MUST learn to conquer your mindset. Too many people get caught up in bad habits, or reductive habitual thinking patterns which sabotage their chances of success, OR their success once they acquire it.
Quite often if you want to “be” a certain way, you should look at the most successful people in your industry and see how they run their lives. Modelling yourself after people who’ve “beaten” or “won” the game is a very productive and smart thing to do.
For example, if you wanted to become a successful basketball player, you wouldn’t study a footballer. You’d look at all the basketball legends, their coaches and how they lived their lives, and then model your own from that.
In this blog post I’ve outlined 8 common traits that I’ve found all successful entrepreneurs carry. If you wish to be successful, I highly recommend that you adopt these traits for yourself:
#1 Vision & Imagination
If you lack the ability to “see” what you want to create, you will find it difficult to bring anything into reality. You need to know what your business will look like, how it will interact with customers, what you will sell, how you will sell and much more.
This can all be achieved through using your imagination and vision. All of the most successful people in business had a vision of what they wanted to create. How do expect to be successful if you haven’t yet defined what success with your business means to you?
Take a pen and paper and write down what you want your business to look like from start to finish. Look at your notes as often as possible, each and every day and you’ll begin to get a much clearer image of the business you’re going to create.
#2 Belief In Yourself & Your Business
Knowing what your business is going to look like is one thing, but if you don’t believe in your abilities to bring those “visions” into reality, then you most likely never will!
Anyone can achieve anything if they really put their mind to it. Belief is reinforced or “created” through experience. That sentence alone could be worth a million dollars to you.
Get involved in your business ideas. Become practical and start to “try” and achieve results. As soon as a single result comes back to you, it will reinforce your belief system, and your actions will get more decisive and sincere.
Also, if you don’t believe in yourself or your business, how do you expect anyone else to? The best sales people in the World BELIEVE in the product or service they’re selling.
Motivation is a MUST have trait in order to summon the enthusiasm needed to take action. Where can you find motivation? Through knowing WHAT and WHY you’re creating your business empire in the first place.
Write down your personal and business related “reasons” why you’re setting off on this venture. It could be a new car, house, better family/social life, security or anything else your heart desires.
Look your notes as often as possible, as they will keep you going through the hard and strenuous times. Each morning and night look at your motivation notes, they will give you the “boost” needed to get out there and achieve your dreams.
Being determined will help you “block out” all negativity and reductiveness that could be surrounding you. People will try to put you down and squash your dreams. Some will mean to and others won’t. When you’re determined you will develop the essential “focus” needed to push forward with your actions to achieve the results you deserve.
In order to really succeed you need to be persistent. Most people give up after a few attempts of creating success for themselves and their businesses, this is a fatal error. Others get VERY close to the finish line, but then give up just before they were about to strike gold!
Motivate yourself to KEEP GOING through everything life throws at you. Know clearly in your head what you want, and consistently bring it closer to reality through drawing it in through your daily actions.
#6 Dream Team
All successful business owners have a “dream team”. This could consist of their staff AND a “master mind” group. Surround yourself with people who’re on the same “wave length” as you. If you want to be successful, go where successful people live, hang out, work and more.
If you want to create a business with a very specific vision, employ people who wish to contribute to building that vision…
In times of need and negativity, sometimes your dream team will be the only thing that can pull you up out of your “rut” and back into overdrive!
I don’t know how many times I’ve said this but, “success lies within your daily routine!”
Again, the Worlds most successful entrepreneurs all know this fact. They have very specific things they do that are all a part of their daily routine which attribute to maintaining their status.
When you wake up in the morning, do whatever you can to feel positive and upbeat about your day. Feel good about your tasks, objectives and ventures. Meditate on your “vision” notes and glance at your motivational findings throughout the day.
You need to “live and breathe” your desires, otherwise you will be doing so for someone else…
Devise a daily routine which helps you stay on track, focused and healthy with an overall goal to grow your business and success.
Without willpower you will most likely “slunk” back into previous behavioural patterns. This means that you will only go “so far” with your plans, and then return back to the state you lived in before.
Willpower will help you upkeep your daily routine, which will be the fuel for your success over time. Take a look at the most influential and triumphant entrepreneurs out there, can their willpower be “shaken”, “stolen”, or “shattered”? NO WAY!
Be strong, know that you’re powerful and that you can achieve the success you wish to see in your business. If you adopt and live by the above 8 traits then you too will become successful, it’s inevitable.
